Cittadella start their preseason friendlies with a bang.
On July 24, 2022 by Jake IovineAt the first match for their preseason retreat in Lavarone, Cittadella were big winners against local side Alpe Cimbra. The Granata netted 11 goals after Alpe Cimbra took a surprise lead in the first half.
Edoardo Gorini’s side left the training facilities back home early this morning and traveled up towards the mountains. The team will be staying in Lavarone for around a week and a half, before they travel to Lecce for their Coppa Italia Round of 64 clash.
Goal scorers from today’s friendly came from Camillo Tavernelli, Raul Asencio (2), Alessio Vita, Vincenzo Ciriello, Simone Icardi, Giacomo Beretta (2), Saliou Thioune (2), and Enrico Baldini.
Cittadella will train twice per day this week with more friendlies scheduled in the coming days. Their next match is against 5th division side Bozner FC on Wednesday, July 27th.
