We are nearing the midway point in the Serie B season, and both Benevento and Cittadella need to start to pick things up as 2022 comes to a close.
Both clubs, who have each had recent success in Serie B in previous years, find themselves hovering above the relegation zone 16 matches in. Cittadella have done one point better than Benevento at this time, which sets up a highly anticipated match on Sunday afternoon.

Their lastest win snapped an eleven game run where Benevento only picked up a single victory in that time.
It would be a fair prediction to not see many goals in this contest. After all, both teams’ goal tally are in the bottom three of the league, with Benevento only scoring two more goals than Cittadella at 15 scored.
The day after Christmas marks the halfway point in the Serie B season. Cittadella and Benevento currently sit in the lower half of the table, which means they want to finish the year strong and get back into the promotion conversation. Both teams meet this Sunday afternoon with a lot at steak.
