Mastrantonio: “The scoring emotion was very strong.”

Cittadella midfielder scored his first Serie B goal against Pisa on Saturday, helping the Granata earn three important points at the Stadio Arena Garibaldi.

On Monday night’s interview with Rigorosamente Cittadella, Mastrantonio expressed his emotions on bagging his first goal since joining the club.

“Certainly the emotion is very strong, as I already said I had people close to me in the stands who in any case came all the way to come and see me so the goal was also mainly for them.” said the midfielder.

Cittadella were holding a 2-0 lead going into halftime in a game they certainly had to win. When Olimpiu Morutan scored in the 60th minute, Mastrantonio commentated on how concentration played a factor in closing out the match.

“Looking for the reaction was certainly one of the most important aspects of our second half,” Mastrantonio said. “But we were all going into the match super concentrated on being attentive since we were all aware of the importance of the match.”
