Cittadella return home to face Como on the 6th Matchday of the Serie B season.
Edoardo Gorini’s side has started positively in the opening weeks of the season. The Granata has defeated Serie A side Empoli in the Coppa Italia, beaten Sampdoria and Reggiana, and has gotten draws against Bari and Venezia.
Como has also started its respective season with good energy. Moreno Longo’s team has gotten 7 points from its first four matches, and are currently riding a two-game winning streak defeating the likes of Spezia and Ternana.
The last time these two clubs met was on the final day of the regular season in May, where they both fought to a tense 0-0 draw. The result was enough for Cittadella to confirm its place in the league, avoiding relegation to Serie C. Both sides have beaten each other three times each, while settling for four draws in a total of 10 matches.
Cittadella forward, Enrico Baldini, has not played a competitive match since September 17, 2022. An ACL injury to the Cittadella star led him to miss the entire rest of the season, and another injury in preseason against Luparense delayed his start to the current season. Baldini has begun training with the full squad, and will be available for selection for the match against Como.
