Cittadella is back from the international break as Sudtirol come to town on Matchday 14 of Serie B.
The Granata are currently riding a two game winning streak after picking up wins against Brescia and Palermo. Edoardo Gorini has not won three consecutive games as manager since his first three games as a coach back in August 2021. With a win against Sudtirol, it would equal Gorini’s all-time record with wins in a row.
Sudtirol was victorious in the last outing at the Tomboalto, grabbing a 0-2 win thanks to two first half goals. Currently, Pierpaolo Bisoli’s team has lost four out of the last six league games, falling to 12th place going into the weekend.
Cittadella will have plenty of options off the bench as Gorini confirms a fully healthy team. The only notable absence for the hosts is captain Simone Branca, who will miss Saturday’s match due to yellow card accumulation.
Despite the absence, the Granata can jump into the play-off positions going into the month of December with a victory. Currently occupying 9th with 19 points, Cittadella has collected five wins, four draws and four losses so far this season.
Saturday’s match will begin the final stretch of games in the calendar year of 2023 before the Serie B winter break. Cittadella will play six games from now until Boxing Day to finish off the year.
