Gorini: “Attitude is a basic thing we can’t lack.”

Edoardo Gorini spoke to the press on the eve of Cittadella’s away match to last-place Feralpisalo.

“Everyone is healthy except for Angeli, who contracted the flu this week and has a fever, so he won’t be with us tomorrow. Everyone else is called-up, apart from Carissoni who is suspended, Sottini and Sanogo who will play with the Primavera this weekend.”

Feralpisalo in last place: are these the hardest matches for you?

“They have a Seire B level squad, honestly. It’s a squad with life and a squad that were tied with Como until the 93rd minute, as well as drawing Bari 3-3. I won’t say that they are last place as they are alive, searching for ways to win. This is an especially hard game, in respect to the other games.”

After three straight victories, Cittadella could slow the pace down. How do you keep the focus on the match?

“We must always have the right attitude when you win or lose consecutive matches against anyone because Serie B is full of competitive and difficult teams.

The attitude is a basic thing that we can’t lack. So I expect tactics, technical things and wickedness. I get a little scared during these pauses. What we worked on has to be the mindset that we are facing a Feralpisalo team like we are playing Parma or Venezia.”

Do the players have a lot of enthusiasm from the three wins, and how do you continue that energy?

“They put a lot of emphases on the basics and they already showed that with three straight wins. Other times in the past they had a big win that was followed by a big loss. We need to be good and keep this concentration and intensity high.
