Gorini: “Our attitude will not change, we will always fight to win.”
On December 15, 2023 by Jake IovineCittadella head coach Edoardo Gorini spoke to the media before traveling to Emilia-Romagna to face Modena on Saturday.
Here were some key notes from the press conference.
On the squad availability/updates:
“The team trained well this week, even through there was some rain they trained well. Baldini will be out for this match, but the rest are available. Pavan had a little problem with his calf, but he’ll be ready for the match.”
On Cittadella’s possible historic six game winning streak:
“I always think about every match. Like I said last week, we have to face every team like they are the strongest. There has to be a motive to beat a difficult Modena team, one of the strongest in the league.
We always have to focus on every match and try to take home the three points. We are ready for a battle, so we’ll see what happens.”
On the mindset and attitude:
“Our attitude will not change, we will always look to fight and always win until the end. If it ends in a draw, we’ll take it. The mentality is there and it’s our strength.”
On Modena:
“I expect a solid and compact team that’s doing well right now with players with a lot of quality. They’ve lost three out of their last five games at home, but this doesn’t worry me. I’ve seen them play and they always play until the end, on Saturday they didn’t deserve to lose against Como.”
On the current state of Cittadella’s squad:
“There’s always something to improve, up until this point the guys have pleased me. The results aren’t a coincidence: this is a team that works and plays well together. This could be the difference.”
Cittadella face Modena this Saturday at the Stadio Alberto Braglia at 14:00 local time.
