Gorini: “We must be alert and put our strengths on the field.”

Here were some highlights from the Cittadella boss’s conference.
Squad updates:
“We’ve been training for the last 9-10 days, mostly everyone is available. Amatucci still has some discomfort from the injury he had against Modena. Unfortunately, Sanogo has begun to feel some pneumonia, so he has to rest. The rest of the squad is all available.”
On not playing for nearly three weeks:
“We missed it a lot. We were in a period where we were doing well and had a lot of confidence. You could see that there was an awareness from the players during that moment.”
“When there’s a long break, there’s always some doubt. I’m curious to see the restart for tomorrow.”
On facing Palermo:
“We knew that we were facing a strong opponent two months ago. We were facing a team a little bit in decline, but now we know they have a squad built to go to Serie A. In the first game against them we deserved to win, so I see no reason why we can’t do it again tomorrow.”
“We must be alert from our point of view and put our strengths on the field.”
Cittadella host Palermo for the first match of 2024. The match will kickoff at 14:00 local time at the Stadio Piercesare Tombolato.
