Second half goals enough for Cittadella against AC Trento.

Preseason in Lavarone is quickly ending for Cittadella, and just one more preseason friendly remains. This afternoon, the Granata edged off Serie C side AC Trento with two second half goals coming from Giacomo Beretta and Ignacio “Nacho” Lores Varela.

With the score at 0-0 at halftime, Beretta’s penalty put Edoardo Gorini’s side in front in the second half. Less than 10 minutes later, Lores Varela’s side-footed one into the net, giving Cittadella a 2-0 win in their third preseason match.

Kastrati (st 1’ Maniero); Mattioli (st 20’ Cassandro), Del Fabro (st 20’ Perticone), Frare (st 20’ Visentin), Donnarumma (st 25’ Bassano); Vita (st 20’ Icardi), Pavan (st 20’ Danzi), Branca (st 15’ Varela); Antonucci (st 25’ Thioune); Beretta (st 20’ Tounkara), Embalo (pt 20’ Tavernelli).

Tomorrow wraps up the preseason matches for the Granata as they face Luparense from Serie D. Only six days remain until the team heads to Puglia for their Coppa Italia fixture against Lecce.
