Perugia vs Cittadella | All you need to know.

Another Serie B weekend on the cards for the last weekend of November. It is certainly tight all the way through the table. But having gone three games without a loss, Cittadella look to leapfrog some of their rivals on the standings.
In their way are Perugia. Having won their Serie C group the previous year, the Umbria based club are off to a flying start.
Tied with Cittadella on points, Perugia have had an excellent campaign so far: winning five games and only losing three. One of their wins came against Brescia, who lead Serie B at the moment.
Against Cittadella, though, it’s been a different story. Since winning their first three games against the Granata, Perugia have gone winless since 2016.
Cittadella are hoping to not stop their unbeaten run. Despite a 1-1 draw last weekend against Ternana, Citta’s performance in the first half looked very good.
This time will be much harder, because due to yellow card suspension, captain Davide Adorni will miss his first match of the season. Without the captain, it’ll be interesting to see who steps up as a leader. In addition, Cittadella will also be missing Mamadou Tounkara and Orji Okwonkwo once again.
Two forwards out for this match means we could see Giacomo Beretta or Camillo Tavernelli get the start up front. Cittadella will need to find another way to break Perugia’s defense without the speed and hold up play of Okwonkwo, something they struggled with last weekend.
Cittadella could separate themselves from Perugia by three points with a win. Just one point is needed to get back into the playoff zone. With another matchday of Serie B, there’s no doubt things are starting to heat up in the playoff chase.
