Cittadella looks to extend its four game winning streak as the Granata face Cosenza on Saturday afternoon.
Edoardo Gorini’s side are high-flying at the moment. Cittadella is riding a four game winning streak – something not done since December 2020. For only the third time in club history, the Granata can level their Serie B record of five wins in a row with another victory on the weekend.
Gorini will have everyone available for selection with the exception of Ahmed Sanogo, who was inflected with the flu this week. However, Gorini has never beaten Cosenza as a manger, drawing three times and being defeated once. Cittadella is winless against Cosenza in its last six meetings with the Calabrian side, with the last victory coming in March 2020.
Cosenza has started the season on a positive note, reaching 19 points and sitting in 9th place going into the weekend. A dip in form has seen Fabio Caserta’s side lose twice in a row since coming back from the international break. In league play, Cosenza are the worst team on the road in terms of goals scored, finding the net only four times. Despite this, I Lupi have a 2-2-3 record on the road.
