Enrico Baldini out for one month following injury.
On August 8, 2023 by Jake IovineCittadella forward Enrico Baldini will be sidelined for the first month of the season after an injury suffered last weekend.
The Cittadella superstar came off with an injury during the team’s last preseason match against Luparense. Baldini underwent medical tests on Monday, with the results coming back as a hamstring strain.
The injury is expected to keep the former Inter Milan Primavera player out for 20-25 days, effectively missing Cittadella’s opening games until the beginning of September. Baldini suffered an ACL injury last season which kept him out for majority of the previous campaign.
Matteo Angeli also suffered a shoulder injury after falling hard on the ground in Saturday’s friendly. Like Baldini, the young center back is expected to miss majority of the opening part of the season.
