After a thrilling match last weekend, Cittadella return to the pitch before the November international break to face Palermo in Sicily.
A win at the Stadio Piercesare Tombolato last Saturday is just what Cittadella needed, ending a three game losing streak. The Granata are looking for just their second victory against Palermo in what will be the 11th all-time meeting between the two clubs on Sunday.
Palermo will also be looking to go into the break with a win, having shaken off a three game winless streak during the midweek against Brescia. Eugenio Corini has only beaten Cittadella once as a manger in nine games. The Palermo boss will not be on the sidelines after receiving a red card in the last match.
The Rosanero has started the campaign positively, sitting in 3rd place going into the weekend. Corini’s team is looking to return to Serie A for the first time since the 2016/17 season. Top scorer Matteo Brunori has four goals and one assist after 12 games in Serie B this season. The striker finished as 3rd top scorer in the league last season.
Cittadella head coach Edoardo Gorini confirmed that captain Simone Branca will return this weekend having missed the last game. Gorini also confirmed Enrico Baldini’s call-up to the squad after taking time off due to injury.
