On March 27, 2023 by Jake IovineCittadella forward Giuseppe Ambrosino scored the equalizing goal today for the Italian U20 national team as they drew Germany U20 in Prato.
The Azzurri were trailing in the second half after Armindo Sieb gave the Germans the lead. However, just five minutes later in the 65th minute, Ambrosino snuck home the equalizing goal, pulling Italy level.
The result keeps the Azzurri on top of the U20 Elite League with 11 points, having played a game less than Germany who are also on 11 points. Ambrosino leads the way in the top scorer standings, tallying three goals in the league alongside Fisnik Asllani.
Ambrosino returns to Cittadella this week as the team gets ready to face Modena on April 2nd.
