Fresh off of three consecutive wins, Cittadella travel to Piacenza to face Feralpisalo, who sits bottom of the Serie B table.
Edoardo Gorini’s side completed a third straight win last weekend, achieving that record for the first time since August 2021. The Granata has a chance to make it four in a row for the first time since December 2020 in its third all-time meeting with Feralpisalo.
Due to renovations ongoing at Feralpisalo’s home stadium, Saturday’s match will be played at the Stadio Leonardo Garilli, where the newly promoted side has yet to win a game at home this season. Marco Zaffaroni’s only win came in late September against Lecco, and now sit bottom of the league with seven points.
Cittadella has gained 22 points – its best start after 14 games since Gorini became in-charge. The Granata sits in 8th place with a three point lead in the play-off zone entering the weekend. A win could see Gorini’s men jump as high as 4th place by the end of Sunday.
Gorini confirmed in his pre-match press conference that everyone is healthy and ready to play, with the exception of Lorenzo Carissoni who is serving a yellow card suspension. Edoardo Sottini and Ahmed Sanogo will also miss the match to be with the Primavera squad this weekend. Feralpisalo will be missing experienced-full back Gaetano Letizia due to a red card suspension.
Saturday will be only the third meeting between the two clubs. The last encounter dates back to 2016, where Cittadella were victorious 1-2 thanks to a brace from Filippo Lora.
