Cittadella travel to Bolzano to face Sudtirol on Saturday afternoon at the Stadio Druso for the 34th Matchday of Serie B.
The Granata have gone five games without defeat following an eight game losing streak from January to March. Edoardo Gorini’s side will be hoping to get another important road victory on Saturday in Bolzano.
Sudtirol defeated Sampdoria last weekend at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, putting Federico Valente’s side a point behind Cittadella and two points from the play-off zone.
This will only be the seventh all-time meeting between Cittadella and Sudtirol. The Granata came out victorious in the reverse fixture as goals from Luca Pandolfi and Filippo Pittarello gave Cittadella a 2-1 win. The last time the two clubs met at the Stadio Druso came in May 2023, where it ended as a 1-1 draw.
Cittadella will be without a number of key players in Bolzano. Enrico Baldini is likely out for the rest of the season after having done surgery on his right meniscus this week. Gorini confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Stefano Negro and Andrea Danzi will miss the match, as well as center back Domenico Frare.
Sudtirol will be missing Kevin Vinetot, Hamza El Kaouakibi and Emanuele Pecorino for Saturday’s match. Midfielder Daniele Casiraghi has scored 14 goals and 6 assists this season for Sudtirol, which is the third best tally in Serie B.
